Conquering Gwalior

 Forts are meant to be conquered, and this one changed hands many times, from Qutbuddin Aibak to the Mughals, British and Marathas. Gwalior, I am talking about. Now it houses many precious artefacts that give us a glimpse of that history. 

















2023 Year end Musings- 3

 I did an invited program on Case study Teaching at Prestige Institute, Gwalior in July sometime for faculty. Also had a school (Hyderabad Public School) batch get-together in Hyderabad, where around 15 students (all boys- back then it was a Boy's School) turned up, and we had a great time reminiscing about our school days.

Jai Vilas Palace Gwalior

 It is also a museum of important historical artefacts connected with the region. Housed in a palatial building, it's a pleasure to see some of the unique exhibits, like a train that ran on the dining table, its compartments carrying dishes that could be stopped at the press of a button, to serve oneself.
