JIS University had an induction program, which ended with a lot of dhoom dhaam at a big city auditorium in Alipore.
A blog about life, Hindi music, films, humour, books, people, places, events, travel, and occasionally, marketing management or leadership. Mostly apolitical, because that is a personal matter that each of us should decide on, and because I don't want to lose readers!
Dhoom at Induction Program
Meeting of Musical Minds
Minds and bodies.. it was a physical meet of a music group that I am a part of. In a member's own farm house near Mumbai. Beautiful setting, a karaoke mic, and us 10 enthusiastic people. Phir kya tha? It was non-stop fun with antakshari, singing songs, and lots of eats-our host is also into the catering business! Pics won't do justice, but.. here they are.
Bargad ka ped- vatvruksh..Karaoke is Fun
Ever since I got a karaoke mic as a 50th birthday present, I have enjoyed it immensely, and broke the ice in many a gathering with its help too. It's a great tool for having unadulterated fun, and in small and large groups-family, students, music groups, anyone .. we have done this at MDP groups with executives! . Just like antakshari, which we did without any accompanying technology. These pics over the years might show you what I am talking about..
Varunika's debut, and I think, Radhika's too (below)- at my IIM Indore residenceCreating Memories
Living in the present is fine, but I think life is about creating memories-preferably good ones. So it's not surprising whether imprinted on a photograph or just on the mind, I am full of memories- mostly good ones. It's a different matter that I forget my passwords, but important people and time spent with them, I do remember.
That process has started- compiling some memories of my two years at NMIMS Bangalore, with a lot of wonderful people.
Above, Rakshita- we first met online during her induction. Later, in person.Manuja, my first Emcee at the virtual convocation we pioneered at NMIMS.
Gatherings at Work
Socialising is one reason why work becomes more tolerable, to most people. So it is important to have a social event or cultural event, once in a while. We have some good singers in our team at NMIMS, and we had a good time discovering new ones too. Here are some pics from the latest get-together to welcome new members..work begins to look like a party!
