Trend in the west is to have no name - at least as far as last names go - Adele, Beyonce, JZ, 50 cents (pity if cents is his last name) et al..
Not to forget rock star Prince who went for a while with no name (he had a mere symbol representing him) and promptly faded out.
Is Gaga a last name, a first name, a name...?
