Did you fly into the local airport at J'pur or train in? Station used to be called Tatanagar and oddly was outside the Tata managed acreage hence the road conditions near it were deplorable back in the 90s.
Not sure if things are diff now. You could tell you had entered Tata managed campus as the bumps under the butt disappeared.
