Ananya Nandi De

I experienced the warm hospitality of an ex-student yet again. Ananya Nandi De and her family -husband Raka and son Hrishit. We had a great time, great food, and conversations.. the 9 year-old Hrishit was full of enthu for books and wants to start a library.. great news! I also recorded an interview with Ananya for my Youtube channel, Chat Masala.. this is the link to it-

She's worked in procurement for leading companies like Torrent, British Telecom and more.. so it was interesting to talk about her rather unusual choice of career. She's an engineer and an IMT Nagpur MBA..

Meeting Nikita and Ananya

We have been meeting for more than a few years now, after we both left IMT Nagpur-she as a student, and I as the Director.

First met in Pune when she had just joined her job and was a trainee, around 10 years ago. Then in Hyderabad, with her friend and colleague, Ritika. After that at Gurgaon, along with Shruti and Aditya. That was pre-COVID. Managed to meet up once more, after a couple of hits and misses, in March 2024.

Always a pleasure chatting with her about everything in life. She's a great conversationalist, and a sales professional par excellence. Proof that we met. 😉😉

Also met Ananya Nandi de, a dynamic alum of the same institute. She's with BT in global sourcing. Also loves music, and we are a member of a music group on fb too. Pics with her-

Outing with IMT Alums

Met two IMT alums for a fun evening. Abha and I have met a few times in Mumbai too. Ananya, I met a year ago at her place. This time, both made it to CP.

Above, we smile for the camera.. Ananya Nandi De and Abha Kulkarni.
Below, some fun with Ananya.

Pati Patni Aur Woh- Film Review

I had watched the classic comedy original that starred Sanjeev Kumar, Vidya Sinha and Ranjeeta. That was classy, and the story that the husband makes up was more believable, while having an eye for his secretary. This one's not bad, though it may not reach the level of the original, if only for Sanjeev Kumar's acting in it. And the songs- Na aaj tha, na kal tha by Kishore Kumar listen to it here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2hqrImIZQmE, and Thande thande pani se nahaana chahiye.

Nevertheless, what impressed me most about this one was the two new actors- the hero's friend, played by Aparshakti Khurana, and the Woh, played by Ananya Panday. The comic situations are mostly funny, and though the end looks a bit contrived, it is an OK way to bring the philanderer's story to a close.

Not a bad way to spend an evening, or afternoon. Bhumi Pednekar seems in form.

One man Show in Pune

Just saw a 2490th performance of a Marathi one man act. Assal Manase, Irsaal Namune. By a chap called Prabhakar Nilegaonkar. It takes a lot...
