Forwards March

Sounds like a marching order, but it's not. It's about forwards and forwarding things virtually.

I am part of a growing tribe of Forwarders- in my case, of jokes, or memes most of the time. Sometimes, a challenge too- strictly, not a forward, but a chain-like thing you perpetuate, like a species. Like the 10-year challenge, and so on. (there's a pati-patni challenge, but not a PP aur Woh challenge as far as I know)

Well, WhasApp forwards are a totally different ballgame..not sure who are the game designers, but many of these are in bad taste, inaccurate, inflammatory, unresearched, fake or all of the above. Mostly, what tears WA groups apart are the political posts from someone, leading to a war of words, and withdrawal of a few offended folks on either side. The original purpose of the group formation gets forgotten/sidelined.

WhatsApp groups can also quickly run out of steam or fizzle out, unless backed by physical meetings with group members.

The New Cool

Earlier, there were three ways to be cool. Two of them involved travel. The third involved running- that started roughly a year ago.

Now, all three are out. Therefore, we have had a rethink, and had to re-invent COOL. So here are some new ways-

1. Try out weird yoga poses, either real or invented.

2. Try out new recipes. They should look good, no matter the taste.

3. Jokes and memes about staying locked up- I mean locked in. You forward them, mostly.

4. Take selfies, usually with disastrous results. You know why. What used to be super-cool, is , let's just say, lukewarm? Still, it keeps you occupied.

5. Take Balcony shots (if you have one- Rohit Srivastava, no offense). If you don't have one, well, sneak into the neighbour's and get a quick shot.

6. Write an autobiography..nobody's tried it yet, but would be Super-cool, if they did. It's not an option, coz I already did it many years ago.

7. Develop a sense of humour. Tough to do, if you didn't have one already.

Fake News Generator

I propose to automate fake news generation. The FNG, or Fake News Generator, is an invention whose time has come. You simply decide on a few parameters, and the AI-based generator goes to work, generating fake news about the people, in tons of videos, Memes, print, or any other form.

For example, say I don't like a certain character in my office. I can generate fake news about his childhood, his dangerous liaisons, his secret trysts with non-veg. food while he proclaims himself a vegan, how he was involved with the Italian/Sicilian mafia, how he smoked pot when 18, and (if he was a U.S. citizen) dodged being drafted into the Army, and his being politically close to a secret group that is planning to overthrow the current government. This would ensure his downfall in no time.

The language to be used in the fake news (how unparliamentary) has to be specified by the user of this FNG. This can be sold by e-commerce companies as the best Diwali gift that one can buy for yourself..in this selfie-crazy generation, you usually buy gifts for yourself anyway. Methinks it will rock the festive season.

A Global Mindset

What does that mean? Probably means that you could function equally well, no matter where you lived -of course, given time to adapt to loca...
