Kejriwal's Win and Lessons From It

The 'wal' has arrived. When Rahul Dravid retired, we were not sure if anyone would take his place. We now have a strong number 3 player (after BJP and Congress), at least in Delhi.

It was a stunning win, almost like BJP's national victory in 2014. If it means what I think it does, it's a good tiding. Perform or perish, or think differently. Connect with your constituency- the people. Be honest. Admit your mistakes, and you will be forgiven. All these are things even marketing and customer service people need to learn, to stop themselves from becoming irrelevant. Customers (like voters) will express themselves when they get a chance, and you might not get a second chance after that.

Not taking people for granted is a great lesson, and Kejriwal deserves accolades for teaching us. Now for his fulfilling his own promises. Like he said, it's scary, given the high expectations.

Post-poll Apps for Various Parties

Post-parliamentary poll in India, I heard Apple has introduced the following downloadable 'food-looking' Apps-

For the Congress, it's a dahi-shakkar, which one partakes of before leaving home- in this case, Lok Sabha.

For the AAP, it is AAPLE juice, a new age invention specially to keep them away. The doctor is already gone (see above) after having his curd and sugar.

For AIADMK, 2 kgs. of halwa from Tirunelveli, also downloadable from Amma's canteen.

For TMC, a lifetime supply of Rosogollas, hoping that will keep them in Kolkata forever, not disturbing us mere mortals elsewhere.

For the Left- A book on SPEAKING ENGLEESH With the Right Accent (not the left). Didi will be allowed to borrow this too.

For the MNS, Babaji ka tullu, whatever that is (refer to Kapil on Sat night).

For the TDP, a smile icon specially designed for Chandrababu Naidu-he looks too damned serious.

And for the BJP, a sattvik dinner in a lotus-shaped dish.

What a Naughty Boy Was That

After watching Arvind Kejriwal in action over the last few weeks, I am reminded of all the naughty kids in all the nursery rhymes I learnt in school.

Humpty dumpty had a great fall..in 49 days

..what a naughty boy was that who drowned his own chances in a spat..

Solomon Grundy (Kejriwalji),
Formed a party on Monday,
Christened AAP on Tuesday,
Contested on Wednesday,
Won on Thursday,
Took oath on Friday,
Did a dharna on Saturday,
Resigned on Sunday.
That was the end,
Of Solomon Grundy (Kejriwalji).

etc., etc..

An Age to Die?

What's an appropriate age to die? Maybe there's one for each one. A healthy human could live to be 100, or 90 plus. Some have, like...
