I Want to Start an Airline

Why would I want to do that?

Firstly, I can fly First class/Business Class whenever I want to.

I can hire the crew.. if Mallya could, so can I.

I can increase the space between rows of seats by 2 inches, for competitive advantage.

I can serve Irani chai, onion samosas and biryani- I would decide the menu. And Haleem in season.

I can give some free tickets to my friends, and we can all go to Goa.

Problem is, I may have to rob a bank first. Can I use AI to do it? No idea.

Charminar Trip

A historic building, right in the middle of the (old) city. A landmark not to be missed. Happened to go there on a quick trip to meet my brother who was visiting from the U.S., partly on a working trip.

We also caught up on a few other sights, but this is about Charminar.

The last one is from Taj Mahal at Abids, another iconic place that has had a makeover.

Once a Hyderabadi Always a Hyderabadi

I don't have to tell you I grew up in Hyderabad and thereabouts. The environment, people, culture, sort of seeps into your blood, as many Hyderabadis will testify, if you ask them. Anyway, I will not wax eloquent- baataan nahin karte, hum Hyderabadi- and instead give you a peek into some of what Hyderabad does best-

The blend of the old and the new- a view from behind the metro station (above), and the station itself.

The last one is only to highlight one of the many bowlis..before Gachhi Bowli came along, it was Putli Bowli that was well-known to Hyderabadi public..phir yeh IT wale logaan aake sab bigaad diye :)

My Avatars on Earth- 5

More avatars. An Irani chai lover, starting from the Hilton at Hyderabad's Osmania University campus (below).

Author/editor of books- this one's edited, with Romy Saini.

and the party-goer. Above, at a niece's wedding in Sri Lanka, and below, Bhangda with an international crowd at a conference dinner in Sri Lanka.

Bogmalo Beach

This was the first time I stayed close to Bogmalo Beach in Goa. I was impressed by the small community, with one or two good restaurants, and not too much crowd. The waves were of course the best part, and the view, the second best. There was a shop with a lady serving Irani chai too, which to me was a bi.....g bonus. I was reminded of the time when we hosted a Case Conference there. I stayed at a nice place called Swing by the Bay!

The last one is an interior decor idea from one of the restaurants with a bar.
