I think people are actually independently 'pursuing/adopting' these tasks. Outside of a rational dictatorship (is this best oxymoron ever) not sure how its going to happen in India.

Meghna, I liked your blog on the subject also, though it skips a few of our achievements as a country, which I perceive maybe because I have been through rationing times and Bajaj scooter-waiting lines!

About the achievements, they are there no doubt. But they are overshadowed, especially when you think where we could have been and where we are.. Despite so much of resources and potential, we are still a third world country.
