Tamilnadu is richly littered with mind blowing stone carvings.. my trip from few years back to Madurai and Tanjore is reminiscent of these pics. If India can use a tenth of those skills and perseverance to build roads today it would be a different world.
agree with you..living in past glory won't help a lot today, except for Tourism- that too needs good roads.
